12 pack of 70-450 white metal button lids with plastisol liner and ribbed sides. Creates an airtight seal during hot-fill and features a tamper-evident pop button.
These 70-450 White Metal Button Lids are one-piece continuous thread closures designed for jars and bottles that use a 70-450 (G70) neck finish. Made from tin plate steel, the lid features a glossy white exterior and ribbed sides for easy tightening and removal. The design includes a stacking ring along the outer rim to allow jars to stack securely.
The lid incorporates a tamper-evident button top. When the seal is intact, the button is depressed. Once the jar is opened or the seal is broken, the button will pop upward to indicate tampering or first-time use.
Inside the lid is a non-removable plastisol liner designed for hot-fill sealing. During the hot-fill process, the jar is filled while contents are still hot. The heat activates the plastisol liner, allowing it to soften and form a vacuum seal as the container cools. This creates an airtight, hermetic closure that helps preserve freshness and prevent leaks.
This lid is suitable for sauces, salsas, condiments, syrups, pickles, jams, jellies, and other products packaged via hot-fill. Testing is recommended to confirm compatibility with your specific filling process.
