Premium glass triple scale hydrometer for beer and wine making, made in France and free from lead and mercury. Designed to measure specific gravity, potential alcohol, and sugar per liter for tracking fermentation and recipe preparation.

This premium glass triple scale hydrometer is designed for beer and wine making and provides a practical way to measure important fermentation and sugar-related readings. Made in France and free from lead and mercury, it is a dependable tool for brewers and winemakers who want accurate readings during recipe preparation and fermentation tracking.

The hydrometer includes a specific gravity scale from 0.990 to 1.160, which is used to measure sugar content in beer or wine. By taking one reading before fermentation and another after fermentation is complete, you can estimate alcohol content based on the change in gravity. It also includes a potential ABV scale, which is intended to be read before fermentation begins, and a sugar per liter scale for measuring grams of sugar per liter.

The unit is calibrated to provide accurate readings when the liquid is at 68 degrees Fahrenheit, or 20 degrees Celsius. To use it, fill a test jar with your sample, place the hydrometer into the liquid, and make sure it is fully suspended without touching the sides of the container. Then read the scale at the surface of the liquid. The hydrometer can be used with the tube it comes in or with a separately purchased test jar.
