Long Description These two-piece wax melt clamshells come in a 30-pack and are designed with 10 cavities in a 2-section layout, with a total capacity of 2.5 ounces per clamshell. Made from PET plastic rather than PVC, they offer a more environmentally friendly option and are BPA-free, using the same type of plastic commonly found in soda bottles.
They are primarily intended for candle wax making and are a practical choice for makers producing wax melts for gifting, retail display, samples, or regular production runs. They can also be used for chocolates and other DIY projects where a segmented clamshell mold and package is useful.
The recommended pour temperature is 140 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit, with a maximum temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. If pouring above 150 degrees, testing on a single clamshell first is recommended to make sure the plastic does not deform.
These clamshells can be cleaned and reused, though repeated use may lower the temperature threshold and increase the chance of cracking over time.
